This is great advise, it actually reminds me of the story of the 2 Buddhist monks crossing the river. [Story](http://www.kindspring.org/story/view.php?sid=63753) Just a tip I've found when talking to people you don't know. If I feel a block coming then I release the breath, smile and let out a split second laugh and go for it again. I think it really helps calm the situation and puts the other person at ease. It can turn the interaction from the person talking to you AND your stutter to the person talking to you WITH your stutter.
