I don't recall much as a child (as in what we did in them sessions), But i saw one for a few years and overall it helped, i also got to school 2hrs late one day a week, so double win. But..i saw a speech pathologist few years back when i was 31 and it was amazing, she was on top of her game and was bending over backwards to help me, it was 15 1hr sessions, sometimes longer if she had a break after or i was the last one for the day, I mean, she WANTED to help me and it did. But its a 2 way street, You need to find one who is right for you and you also need to be open to the ideas and what not. If it feels like your not getting anything from it, You shouldn't waste her or his times and look at other options or try another speech pathologist, I think its the same with Drs and other health professionals, need to find the right one to help you and be on the same page and work together
