I do recommend finding someone who is specialized but that isn’t necessarily something everyone will be able to find near them. Just made some alternative suggestions. You could always find someone who doesn’t have a specific qualification (aside from being a CCC SLP, obviously you want that ) who is a great therapist and is very knowledgeable about stuttering. I only suggest graduate students because it might be more accessible to some and grad students are very motivated to incorporate the newest literature into therapy and they have an arsenal of experience professionals guiding them :)
