I was also at the NSA conference, and that guy brought me to tears. I second everything above. Maybe if he's so impatient that you can't talk to him, can you consider writing him a letter? Also, having been in the real world for 35 years, I can assure [him] that it's not that bad. And I'm doing very well in my career as an engineer. There are plenty of others who are having good experiences in the real world.
