Work in retail. Since this is retail/medical I wouldn't be too worried about it. If you go in with your ID ready, even if they don't need to scan it, it will help you keep from having to verbally give your name on full. I don't need ID at my counter but people with speech or hearing issues as well as people who do not speak English hand me their ID if I need their name. No big. You can even say you have a speech problem if they look worried that you haven't verbally said your name it. They should understand. People go into pharmacies no matter how good or bad their day is going and no matter what their medical issues are. Staff probably cares more about your patience with them than they are truly impatient with you. People laugh at me when I start talking sometimes and I really just have to say "so, I have a speech impediment. Anyway...." Or "yeah, man, I stutter." And keep saying what I was saying before they laughed. Working with high volumes of people I've found some laughs are involuntary and most people are horrified enough to shut up and let me talk when I tell them they just laughed at someone who can't help it. One old lady gets a lot of joy making fun of me! I'm assuming she grew up when the most problematic Disney cartoons were most popular or something. She's a piece of work and I just have to wonder if she's that joyfully cruel to me what has she said to people on the bus. Avoiding isn't always the way but you can go online but more likely call your insurance or your pharmacy to see if you can get your meds by mail every month. You'd only need to go in if you needed something the same day. If staff is ever rude I strongly encourage you to send a written complaint in if it's a corporation. They are likely to at least apologize.
