Stutter is a disability. I'm really sick and tired of people telling me to just suck it up. Just like someone who cannot see, hear, or walk can claim disability, someone who stutters can also claim disability. Hell someone who has mental problems with the right psych evaluation can claim disability. If a stutter keeps you from finding a good job, keeps you from having a normal life, guess what, it's a disability. Now some live their lives just fine with a stutter...but that's not everyone!!! Don't DARE say that stuttering is not a disability! It is not normal if it impairs basic performance. So if someone wants to claim disability for stuttering, they can. Why can't we get treated the same as someone with a well-known disability? Makes no sense to ignore invisible disabilities as those with recognizable disabilities get all the help they need. What's so shameful about needing help? You want people to not pity you, that's fine, but don't prevent people from getting help for their disability if they need it.
