I feel intimidated not just around authority figures but also around those who appear to be confident and posh (maybe it's my insecurity at work). There are days where I would feel great and confident, not many blocks and then there will be days where I feel terrible and block almost all the time. I have to start doing something about it. I can't go on ruining my life, feeling crippled all the time but I get you, the anxiety around authority figures or someone demanding makes it a little more uncomfortable and worsens the situation. Maybe, seeking therapy or boosting our confidence is what we need I think. I can't afford therapy. Any YouTube videos to calm the mind, positive affirmations and things like that would help, I believe. You're not alone mate.
