I agree with the first\- like, stuttering is an impairment, but people are othered by it, isolated by it, so it is also a disability. Like, I use a wheelchair \- i'm not disabled until someone or something makes me so, stuttering is the same, it's not shit until it is made to be so either by your own preconceptions or by others. The second, I wanna say I disagree\- because in principle I do. Anyone should be able to do anything, and with speech \- yeah you are able to lecture, perform, whatever\- I have slowly worsening dysrthia and stuttering and I am just gonna graduate a degree in performance. But, the kicker is that in a society that does disable folk due to their speech, you're gonna run into bother. Capable and socially\-sanctioned\-able are two very different things.
