So from what I can remember (this was 2+ years ago now), they were trying to reinforce that after the course you can join the support groups by paying membership, which was not cheap and I think circa £600+ per year. I remember them really trying to drill it into you, and saying how people who have completed the first course have now become "mentors" or something to that effect, and there was a hierarchy ladder that you could climb and it seemed like it was encouraged to get others to join and climb it. Perhaps calling it a pyramid scheme is the wrong thing, but I distinctly remember feeling like the focus was not on helping people overcome stammers and more of a business model, which I guess ultimately it is.
