Had a job interview today... ...and it went well, speech-wise at least! I'm 36 and my stutter has always been fairly minor, but getting through a job interview with good speech is big for any stutterer. I totally durped up the phone interview last week...as it was on the phone...and it was a job interview...it was bad. I just wanted to let everyone know in the hopes that it gives someone out there some optimism regarding their own stutter. My stutter used to be bad from ages 5 - 9, very mild in high school, went back to being depressingly bad during college and for like 6 years afterwards, but has been steadily getting better as I get older. I think financial stability and better (less stressful) jobs really helped. So yeah, go out there and be yourself fellow stutterers. And always remember, you've got to care, but not that much.
