Yea, stuttering is fine if you're a recluse scientist in his basement conjuring up potions in the middle of the night. If you're looking to be a social god, the life-of-the-party, any sort of leader, a stockbroker, an actor, any high-profile profession then you can forget it. It's too big of a handicap. If you're stuttering every 3rd or 4th sentence, substituting words, it's game over.
