I see what you're saying, and I don't disagree. However, this sub has a tendency to focus on those negatives. Posts like this, while wonderful in their own right, are all the more inspiring in part because of how rare they are. I understand the desire to complain, to vent, because for most of us there is no one with whom we can talk about our issues who actually get them the way that others who stutter understand. But too much of that, such as can be found here in this sub, quickly turns toxic and counterproductive of the goal that all of us are reaching for. I'm not going to shame anyone for wanting to vent, or for feeling down about their situation. I don't know their lives or the way that they handle hardship. But what I can say is true for almost everyone, is that posts which can help us see the light, the good and not the bad, are invaluable and far too infrequent. It's easy to adopt the (here it comes again) "woe is me" attitude, but in the end that's just a stopgap. It's not doing you (or anyone) any good. That's why I give this post such high praise and *this* is what I want to see more of here.
