I think its disappointing how we have to compensate - for instance I am relatively good looking, witty, intelligent, and take care of myself (dress well and workout) and I can only seem to befriend the other "weird" people who don't seem to take care of their appearance at all, aren't particularly ambitious etc. Kind of goes to show you how much a stutter can hold you back when socialising.
