Anyone else a better writer than speaker?

Anyone else a better writer than speaker? I've stuttered my whole life (it's been getting better as I've gotten older and don't think about it as much as I used to) and, since conversing with people was almost impossible for the longest time, I became interested in books and more personal pursuits when I was younger. I really don't think about my stutter all that much these days, to the point of not even remembering I have it until it's the first day of class or I'm ordering fast-food or something (online ordering is a godsend), but it has been a major factor on my life. Whereas most kids were playing sports or spending time with friends, I read books and wrote stories every now and then. I realized that in writing, I could speak what I wanted and it never stuttered. I've become more interested in writing as a career as college nears its end and I know the reason I write is because I stuttered for so long. So my question is if any other stutterers also prefer writing over speaking?
