Sure, I'll elaborate. First, this isn't a cure for me. It just improves my fluency. I noticed spontaneous improvements a few years ago when my health issues at that time were severe enough that solving my speech issues were not something I thought of at all. In 22' I went on a whole foods plant based diet and noticed major improvements in my health. Strangest of all was that the severity of stutter decreased by like 3-4x. It went from moderate to mild. I've tried 14 diets since then. Every time I eat foods in this group (meat, dairy, eggs, processed foods, coffee, added sugar), my stutter gradually worsens and I can feel so directly and tangibly the effect of it happening and where it happens in the body. Eating mostly plant foods with a lot of fruit improves my fluency every time I switch to this diet. I'm not saying my stutter is as simple as just eating healthy. I know it's complicated and has many factors. But diet has been the only thing to really help. I tried to find other people who diet has helped and cannot really find anyone. I did read in a book on raw foods by a guy named Arnold Ehret that his diet helped people with stuttering, but it's a very old book and the author is dead. But its very close to the diet I am following. In short, I have more questions that answers, I'm on my lonely isle of n=1 people who diet has greatly helped. I'm doing different experiments on my body and health to hopefully get deeper insights into stuttering. I have some somewhat radical ideas on what one of the major factors of stuttering is in a subset of the stuttering population. If my work continues to my expectations, I will eventually no longer stutter.
