Experience with Lidcomb method My son (4 yrs) has been assessed to have a moderate stutter. His therapist is recommending the Lidcombe method. I was wondering if anyone can share their experience with this method? Was it effective? Was the direct approach good for kids? I worry that being so direct will exacerbate things. I have stuttered all my life, and had therapy as a kid. Back then it was a little punative - a lot of striving for perfect speech and criticing myself. I'd like to avoid that with my son if possible.
