Today hit me hard I am 16 years old, a normal guy. But one who has a stutter. I made it all the way through my semester speaking fluently until today when I had to say my birthday and I just froze and couldn't say the words "August 13th." It had to be one of the single worst moments in my life because I hadn't had a block like this infront of many people in about one year. I got blocked and many people laughed at me. Even people who I was friends with because most people don't know I have this problem because I am around 98% fluent in conversation because I have had this problem for so long that I change the words that I say before I say it so I don't get blocked. I only get blocked on words that start with a vowel. It has always been challenging for me to say something that is already planned out in my head. But today I have never felt so ashamed and down on myself.
