At the end of the day its your voice and speech, you should use it in whatever way you feel comfortable. The important thing is that you're communicating what you have to communicate and the stutter isn't stopping you from saying anything. I'm a little different. Whether I use a technique or not, I find talking itself exhausting. The feeling of blocks and trapped air are what exhausts me. Sometimes talking in a different funny accent can help me gain fluency. I actually find that less exhausting.
