Some tips I learned in speech therapy So I briefly went to speech therapy and here are some of the tips I got :D (they were adapted to me so idk if every single one can help everyone of you) 1) accept your stutter as a part of you and don't be too hard on yourself (that's probably the hardest one but it's super important) 2) relax 3) when reading, take little breaks and try to find a rythm in your speech (though this is meant for reading it has helped me when speaking freely as well) 4) if you stutter at the G (as in "give" or "get") say "ng" before saying the G, it'll help you "slip" easier into the sound 5) if you stutter at the B, say M before saying the B. Also helps you slip into the sound 6) and if you stutter at the D, say N before 7) if you stutter at "hard sounds" (like P, T and K) and vowels try to let out a bit air. For example, say "Pehaint" instead of "P-P-P---Paint" or whatever your stutter is like. It might seem weird and it doesn't sound completely natural but it's still better than nothing 8) don't give up, it takes a lot of time to overcome your stutter, so again, don't be too hard on yourself Good luck :D
