I won't say no, because strange things happen in this world. But it is *highly*, *highly* unlikely. Your doctor and psych prof, respectfully, have no idea what they are talking about. Sadly, most medical professionals' knowledge of stuttering is based on common myths and historic wrong assumptions. There is a lot you can do to change your experience of speaking and stuttering. If you want to work on creating change, I would invest your effort in methods that directly target actual speaking.
