I went to speech therapy a few years ago. I lived in a small town and the only licensed speech therapist was in the next town over in a hospital. Firstly, she got irritated that I had a panic attack when she made me read aloud to assess me because I'd basically avoided talking until that point in my life, so it was terrifying for me. Then she got irritated that I cried after the reading assessment. Then she asked if I believed in God, and I told her I didn't, and then her entire tune changed and she told me that's why I'm like this and that Jesus is the only one who can help me and fix me and that I'll never know peace until I give my life to him.
