Thanks so much for taking the time to answer my questions. This is super helpful! I never want to make anyone feel uncomfortable but this was a totally new situation for me so I want to make sure I handle it in the best way possible going forward! And the purpose of our study group is to taste wine, so drinking will be involved every time we meet or attend class! We didn't get drunk last night because most people had to drive home, but even when you spit the wine out you still consume some of the alcohol (and some wines are just too good to spit :) ). I do think I noticed him speaking more as the evening/drinking progressed, though it didn't seem to have a noticeable effect on his stutter.
