Yes, but it's more that I don't want to be bothered. I just keep my answers short and sweet. Recently my mom (no stutter but bad anxiety) said that she went and literally couldn't deal with the stylist or her voice. So she politely was honest and said "I'm feeling really anxious right now, and it's taking all my energy not to run out of here. Can we please not talk?" The woman totally understood and didn't take offence. If I were you, I'd try that and tip nicely. It's their job to make you feel comfortable even if that means to stay quiet.
