You will have good days and bad days. It’s like a rash. Sometimes barely noticeable other times it’s flaring up and on fire. Most important is to daily edify yourself and after an embarrassing or hard block you have to be kind to yourself and say good job, good effort, I’m proud of you. I’ve found no one really understands how debilitating and shameful and guilt ridden it makes you and they just end up making you pissed or are alienating in responses. It’s also okay to preface on bad days when speaking to strangers or in public to say “I have difficulty speaking, please bare with me.” To clear the air before you begin. Or honestly there’s no shame in just writing stuff down and handing it over. I do that with my name, number and address like a business card. Find what works for you and be KIND to yourself. Also realize that only stutters really get it. Unless you want to hear “awwww I’m sorry” or “slow down, it’s okay” a million times. Much love. Stuttering makes you fearless and learn a ton about yourself. Rock on fearless comrades
