I could describe my 5 year old just like your daughter. Studies show that early intervention is best. If your school district won't evaluate her, check what your health insurance covers. Ours was a little expensive until we met our deductible, but now we only pay $12/visit for our kid to see their speech therapist. This is in addition to speech therapy that the school provides. Still my child's stutter has not greatly improved after a year of therapy, but we going to keep working on it. I want to be able to tell my child that I did everything I could to help him overcome his stutter.
