I've always stuttered more around my parents than anyone else. I don't know if it's because I'm not trying to hide or substitute words or if it's some kind of trigger but it's been like this for as long as I can remember. I'm kind of the same as you except reverse the genders. I feel like girls are usually more understanding and much less likely to make some shitty comment than guys. I'm a guy by the way.
