I agree with u/ShutupPussy. Meditation, Prayer, Introspection, Yoga... Any of these things can provide a good base for you to build upon. It sounds like you've got a good head on your shoulders, so based on your hypotheses maybe working on your anxiety (by way of calming activities) would be a good first start and then maybe move into therapy or some other type of remedy.
