Does anyone have speech blocks/stutters more around certain people? I want to know if it’s not just me. Some people, I can talk to with great fluency, but others, I can barely get out what I want to say. I have blocks the most with my own mom and I don’t get it. I don’t feel consciously or noticeably afraid of her, nor do I feel a great desire to appear perfect around her. Second to my mom is probably teachers. . I also feel as though the people I block the most with are those I’m most comfortable with (I.e my mom, my favorite teacher) when I feel like it should be the other way around. Anyone else experience this? EDIT: I think it may have something to do with authority and the want to act correctly around them , as I don’t stutter around close peers as much as teachers/parents.
