My son started stuttering very suddenly at 2 yrs 10 months. He is now 3 yrs 2 months and still stutters (sometimes quite severely). He has been seeing a speechie for about 8 weeks now (Liddcombe program). It is very hard to take, but I'm hopeful he will be one of the lucky ones who grows out of it. FWIW I have a mild 'covert' stutter and there is some history of stuttering on both sides of the family.
