There are hundreds of theories but nobody has figured out what exactly makes a stutter happen. People say anxiety and fear of speaking is the cause but people who have fluent speech also feels the same anxiety and fear while speaking out in public but they don't stutter. I stutter when I am with friends, I don't fear them. So why do I stutter? It's not anxiety. It's not airflow. It's something in the brain, I think. Something is not lining up. I am not sure if the left or right brain thing is accurate but it's worth looking into. I wish some designs a method to solve this fucking curse. I would happily be involved in experimental drug test or even surgeries if it means it will help people in the future.
