I once had a guy make fun of my repetition and (my slp would be proud lol) I stuck up and told him I have a speech disorder, which usually puts people in their place. I usually don't hold it against them bc a lot of people are ignorant about speech disorders. He responded with "I do too," I don't know this guy very well but IF he did have a speech disorder, he would know to not make fun of people's speech. It was probably some early childhood thing that faded and he wants to say "poor little me"
