Therapy/help for my pre-schooler Hi all First up just to mention that I have a mild covert stutter myself, so I'm no stranger to the condition. My son (now 3.5yrs) has had a stutter for about 9 months now. His fluency varies of course but can be quite bad. We got him in therapy pretty much straight away and did many months of the Lidcombe Program (we are Australian, it is big here). It's hard to say whether it did anything; it certainly didn't cure him, and eventually we stopped doing it. As a sufferer, I am very skeptical about the efficacy (in general) of speech therapy for stutters, but I don't want my scepticism to cloud my judgement, because his brain is still developing and I suppose therapy *could* give him a better chance of a full recovery. Sorry for the essay. Can anyone recommend a different course of therapy for a preschooler? And does anyone have general tips or comments or relevant stories to share? Thanks
