This is one of the best questions i've seen here. You can look for someone board certified in fluency disorders: http://www.stutteringspecialists.org/search/custom.asp?id=1972 What i'd recommend is finding some well respected therapists and clinicians and ask them who they would recommend in your state. The upcoming NSA conference is a perfect place to ask around. Aside from that, you can search for well respected therapists. Stuttertalk is a great resource and they usually only invite really good SLPs. You could also probably reach out to the NSA (national stutter association) or the stuttering foundation and ask if they can refer you to someone to give you someone to ask who would know better.
