Yes. This is why people unfamiliar with stuttering think we’re idiots. We do not have a “national day” or an awareness day. The same thing happens to red heads in Hollywood and on cartoons. Me being a red head stutterer, I get hit with “you have no soul” or “you’re evil” and I’m an idiot. This is 100% the media’s fault and that we have no back up. The only people that understand are other people that stutter or people who love someone that does.
