Reading out loud

Reading out loud For some reason, whenever I read directly from a piece of paper, book, PowerPoint, etc. I am able to speak clearly and fluently. Was wondering if anyone else had experienced this and if you know why it happens. I can go up in front of an auditorium and easily read a poem or something, but the second you take that paper away from me I start to block. Is there anyway I can use this advantage to eventually overcome blocking?
