I think my stuttering gets worse when I have a stuffy nose

I think my stuttering gets worse when I have a stuffy nose The strange thing is, I actually suffer more from colds in the summer, and in my opinion, it seriously affects my speech. Do more people recognize this, or is it just in my head? My parents also complain about it and want me to try hypnotherapyy so here's my question: does anyone have experience with increase stuttering because of nosecold and hypnotherapy ?
