Yeah, sounds like they just lumped you in with either some broad category of cognitive disorders, or psychiatric disorders. Hopefully, you still get approved. As I think I said in one of your earlier posts: IF they deny your application, I urge you to immediately find an advocate to do the appeal. Advocates are either lawyers or former Social Security Administration workers who know the system. Trying to do an appeal on your own is not impossible, but can be very difficult and infuriating; they make it this way so that you are likely to fail. I worked with an advocate in helping a friend get on Disability; we could not have done it without him. They don't charge you up front and the percentage of *back pay* that they take -- one third -- is totally worth it. If your appeal is won, which it is likely to be if you have an advocate (since your claim is completely legitimate), the back pay will start from the date you first applied. As the appeal can take some time, the back pay can be significant. Wishing you the best. And I'm really sorry there is not better understanding of a recognized disability. It's inexcusable that this is the case within the federal agency that grants or denies disability benefits.
