it's when you make a sound before the problem element. dunno what it's called. we have some speech therapists in here, maybe they can help us with the terminology. but it's just to make a sort of "rolling start" to a word. depending on how you go about it, it can sound perfectly normal, actually. like, non-stutterers say "uhm" once in a while anyway.
