Cartoon is for sure old. And for sure he's the longest running character but at least in my personal estimation is because he's a tag along side character who is easy to add to basically any episode they need to fill out. Porky has a wife but we don't see her a whole lot lol When I was a kid late 80s early 90s it was on reruns on cartoon network ALL day and also Saturday morning. I think when Toomami came out around Y2K cartoon network stepped their game up a lot.  Porky is a few years older than my grandparents so they grew up when Looney Toons was NEW. Then their kids grew up as new stuff was coming out, it had those adult jokes for parents that kids don't notice and my grandparents def loved that. By the time I grew up these franchises and Disney were still the cartoons we had and there were times mote than one channel would be Looney Tunes and my parents loved it because their parents loved it. A lot of people my age surprisingly love this damn cartoon. I've seen tattoos man. I watched the Simpsons for the first time with a sheltered friend and she was horrified at Itchy and Scratchy!! Made me turn it off and then I showed her Tom and Jerry and she couldn't tell me the parody was anything but correct.
