I work in a pizzeria and my job requires me to answer phones to take orders. It sucks and it's super embarrassing if my stutter starts to take over and I end up saying "um-um-um-um-um..." every few seconds. What I do (which may not work for everyone) is I completely stop, take a deep breath, and try again. If I'm lucky, it works.
