They might help with the underlying anxiety that causes you to get stuck in a loop, but the drug is still in your system, it's not like it fixes you and you're normal for the rest of the time. I microdosed acid for a while and it helped with my anxiety specifically, but I was still on acid, it still fucked with my perception and how I acted.
