Any stuttering musicians?

Any stuttering musicians? I used to be a drummer when I was 14 up until I was 17, then I switched over to being a singer-songwriter when I turned 18. It kind of sucks when I perform and I have to do stage banter (ex. talk to the audience, introduce a song, etc), because my stuttering gets in the way and it becomes super awkward. But it's weird. I don't stutter when I sing. My friend noticed that in me; in that I can truly express myself when I sing, I won't hesitate to say anything or express any of my feelings; something I can't do when I'm normally talking. It was much easier being a stuttering musician when I was a drummer, because I didn't have to talk to the audience! Just say hi and accept compliments after my performances. I still do that as a singer-songwriter, but I feel like my performances get hindered by my stuttering and slight awkward silences. It just sucks, you know? Musicians are supposed to be confident people, who can talk to anyone, have a shit-ton of inspiration and be able to talk to other people. I can barely do that. Any other stuttering musicians face this on a daily basis?
