In my opinion: Even when stuttering feels “random” or unpredictable, there are actually layers, built from past experience.. running subconsciously. And also, I think we construct a narrative around past experiences (our subconscious draws a conclusion or picture or story around it) that I think reinforces (and maladaptively refines) an “inner judge” that decides whether and how we execute a speech plan.. meaning it decides when we initiate what we say and how we say it. Can you resonate with that? Besides the past experiences our subconscious draws on. Are there other subconscious mechanisms we can at least partly influence? I don't mean the reactions but rather subconscious elements that precedes reactions?
