I live in America. I was exactly like that until a year ago. My mom knew how much my stutter was affecting me and signed me up for a retreat for stutterers. It was called the CHAT Retreat. Going to that changed my life. I was finally around other people that understood what I was going through and had the exact same feelings I had. For the first time in my life I finally felt like I was able to speak without judgement and didn’t feel so out of place. While I was there I found out that my town had an NSA chapter (National Stuttering Association). So I started going to that so I could be around more stutterers from my area. It’s like a support group and we go out to restaurants or coffee shops and always have a great time. I highly recommend going to something like that. Nothing feels worse than feeling alone.
