It took me like 3 mos. before I got comfortable enough with my team that I wasn't tripping over myself speaking. It will absolutely get better with time + building your confidence. And, realistically, what exactly are you going to do when you quit? You'll have to go through a whole interview process that is even more hellish IMO. Do not quit. You did not get this job initially as a favor to you. You are competent and capable.
