I don’t know what to feel knowing I’m not the only one... My stuttering first appeared when I was around eight, and my mom was convinced that I talk like that to be cute or something(like wtf). But yea, she thought I was asking for attention. Later I told her I think I have a speech problem, she tried to convince me that her child does NOT have problem. Then even later, during my preteen years, I guess she realized I wasn’t pretending and I really am stuttering. She just shouted “DO NOT STUTTER, I TOLD YOU TO TALK SLOW” whenever I messed up. She eventually gives up. In short, it took her a hell of a long time to accept this, must be thinking it is another “disease” that my dad side of the family gave me,
