Even when we assume that we aren’t anticipating stutter, it is visible in our body language that we are anticipating it. When i anticipate stutter, i usually put my tongue and facial muscles in certain kind of position instead of keeping them at rest. To break that anticipation i keep my tongue rested on the roof of my mouth, my facial muscles at ease and try to keep my shoulders, chest down and calm. And now i will open my mouth to speak only when i should speak, not a second earlier, i try to be as calm and controlled as possible. We should trust ourselves that when it’s our turn to speak, we will be able to speak. Until it’s our turn to speak, we should keep every facial muscle, tongue and mouth at rest. And instead of doubting if can speak properly or not, we should keep telling ourselves that we will speak properly and calmly. These things really helped me in retail shops and all
