I understand how you feel. I'm 29 now and I was in your position at around... 18-20. I was terrified to get my permit/drivers license. Terrified to get a job. The only reason it happened was because my mom forced me to. At around 24 I started truly truly working on myself and my anxiety surrounding my stuttering. Exposure therapy, really putting yourself in the positions you're afraid of, truly does take the fear away. Managing your emotions with breathing techniques and positive thinking helps me so much. Phone calls were a huge HUGE just TERROR for me. I can proudly say that I have almost eliminated that fear and am able to make the phone calls I need to. The anxiety is still there, but I have the techniques to handle it. Side note, I would highly highly suggest getting a warehouse job if you're in the US, they're higher paying and you don't have to worry about speaking being a primary function of your job. Once I found warehouse work, I've been so happy.
