Most people's stutter gets 'worse' and then better in a relatively quick cyclical way, some weeks I barely stutter and then the next I might not be able to say my own name. For me personally, I stutter more when I'm super tired or have lots of deadlines... but I think each person has different 'triggers' and it took me basically my whole life until now to work them out -- **Trying to identify these factors with your daughter would be super helpful as you can minimise them!** Also I'd really like to highlight that SLPs are like therapists, in the sense that they don't always align (for lack of a better word) with their patient. As a child, I went to 4 different SLPs in the space of 2 years before I found one that I was comfortable with and she really made a difference to my speech -- **Basically don't 'give up' because one SLP says something, or doesn't work for your daughter.** Good luck, I hope she gets on okay!
