One of my friends say it's "cute" - I know he means it in a simply affectionate way, but it still makes me roll my eyes because... ugh, it's "me" all right and sure, I'M cute, but the stutter can become an obstacle to communication so... not cute. I do believe my friend when they say they don't notice it anymore. It's definitely something you can "tune out" (like bad grammar because ESL, or chronic acne).
